Paid use takes two steps: choose a monthly subscription, then add a prepaid balance starting at $10. Writer starts at $29 upfront: your first month plus $10 of separately prepaid usage. That usage balance is not a monthly allowance. Plan changes are not available as self-service yet. The same writing tools are included at every level; compare fees and usage rates before choosing.

Separate usage, clear rates
Rates below are per 1 million tokens, not credit bundles. Input includes your prompt and story context. Output includes the model response and any billed reasoning tokens. Actual usage is deducted from your prepaid balance at your plan’s rates. The examples are arithmetic illustrations, not a promised cost per scene: context length and response length vary.

Paid AI usage requires an active subscription and a funded balance. There is no automatic refill and no postpaid usage bill. Requests stop when the available balance or usage limit is reached.
A finite trial, not a subscription
Trials are subject to availability and require a verified email. The allowance combines input and output tokens, uses Claude Sonnet 5 only, and ends when the token allowance or 7-day period runs out. There is no automatic charge when your trial expires.
Your subscription renews monthly until canceled. Prepaid usage is a separate purchase that you choose to make. Starting a trial does not enroll you in a paid plan. Visit billing in your account to see available plans, your balance, and your usage limit before choosing to pay.
